The victim, Sue Appy, was terrorized when coming home from the grocery store. “I was trying to unload my groceries from the car when this mutt ran up to me and licked my foot. My foot!” Appy held back tears as she added, “I was wearing sandals.”

Puggles are hybrid dogs that are becoming increasingly popular. A cross between a pug and a beagle, they grow to be barely larger than a cat. Their vicious licking is becoming more wide spread as their popularity among breeders and dog owners grow.

Conolia Hospital has reported that emergency room visits revolving around puggle licks have more than tripled since last year. “It’s a major problem,” Congresswoman Lavette Intoleray said after meeting with Appy as she recovers in the hospital. “We must pass a bill that bans these vicious creatures from our neighborhoods before somebody is licked to death.”

When asked for comment, Snuggles simply wagged her tail to the point where her entire butt wiggled. No reporter was harmed by licking in the writing of this story.
