In an epic battle between good and evil, Batman, or possibly just some weirdo wearing Batman pajamas, has been defeated by Mr. Potato Head. The long battle lasted three weeks and coincided with the movie release of “The Dark Knight”.As a result of Batman’s defeat, an unprecedented fear of potatoes has spread across the nation as citizens hold their breath waiting for Mr. Potato Head to strike again.
The battle began when Mr. Potato Head raided a candy store to steal Lemon Heads. Batman showed up at the scene and attempted to subdue the thief, however, at every attempt to place handcuffs on the cunning villain, the arms of Mr. Potato Head would pop off and he would once again be free.
“We were really frightened when we saw Mr. Potato Head switch to his evil eyes,” a witness who saw the battle begin at the candy store told us. “We knew then that the situation was serious.”
Millions of dollars in damage was done during the battle and plastic eyes, noses, and ears could be found throughout the city.
“The entire area is under lockdown until this potato is caught,” Officer Copper of the Conolia Police Department said in a press conference earlier today. “If you see a potato, please call 911 right away. Do not be fooled by happy or sad eyes. He is a master of disguise and is extremely dangerous.”
Batman is currently recovering at Conolia Hospital after being hit in the face with a french-fry gun.
